Operations Supervisor Opening
Clark’s Consulting Connection, LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a client in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Summary:
-
Manages warehouse and on-site operations. Responsibilities include initial and recurring employee training, equipment procurement and maintenance, facility maintenance, purchasing, job scheduling, employee safety, customer interaction, and job-related travel.
Responsibilities:
-
Supervise operations employees including Packing/Crating, Shipping and Receiving Departments. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Travels to, supervises, and organizes on-site operations.

Generate price estimates for customers.

Participate in crate construction and packing as required to maintain service levels.

Enforce company, governmental and industry policies/procedures/regulations. e.g., OSHA, ISPM15, IATA.

Comply with the Drug Free Workplace standard.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum five years’ experience in export/commercial packing and crating; Experience must include all forms of domestic and international crate construction for all modes of transportation. Competence in container loading, breakbulk packing, and on-site operations. Understanding of the ISPM15, TSA and CBP rules and regulations.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Ability to pass TSA / Homeland security background.

Mechanically inclined.

Maintain a forklift certification and pass a “train the trainer” certification to train and forklift certify warehouse personnel.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
